POINT AU ROCHE — Jon Parks was the top overall finisher at the 2012 YTri that took place at Point au Roche State Park Saturday.
Parks finished the race in one hour, 16 minutes and 28 seconds. He spent 12:31 on the swim portion of the race, 1:01:23 biking and 12:34 during the run.
The top female triathlete was Cassie Sellars, who crossed in a time of 1:43:13. Her swim took 18 minutes, while she spent 1:17:19 on the bike and 7:54 on the run.
Rob Hughes, Cody Marshall and Kyle Jones were the top finishers in the men’s team competition with a time of 1:30:05. Hughes took to the water, finishing his swim in 13:55. Marshall finished the bike portion in a time of 1:07:40, and Jones completed the race with the run in a time of 8:30.
Lynne Murray, Kara Bordeaux and Sarah Fussey were the top finishers in the women’s team competition, crossing in a time of 1:31:12. Bordeaux finished the swim in 14:28, Murray crossed on the bike in 1:03:37, while Fussey finished the running portion in 13:07.
The top finishers per age group are as follows: Brandon Couture (1:53:35) and Brook Kelley (1:47:29) for age group 14-17; Keith Kogut (1:40:43) and Kylie Goodell (1:45:51) for age group 18-29; Chris Demers (1:37:19) and Aimee Demers-Bourgeois (1:44:59) for age group 30-39; Randy Kelley (1:27:28) and Beth Christon (2:15:25) for age group 40-49; Stanley Hatch (1:40:16) and Alicia Chase (1:49:00) for age group 50-59; Jim Cunningham (1:45:47) and Alana Forcier (2:05:18) for age group 60+.
The top finishers in the group competition are as follows: Hughes, Marshall, Jones and Rebecca Brown, Kristi Martin, Erin Lynch (1:54:02) for under 35; Roy Brinker, Bill McDowell, Gary Barkla (1:29:09) and Murray, Bordeaux and Fussey for over 35; Cory Couture, Alexis Kelley and Shannon Keysor (1:31:03) for mixed under 35, and Taher Zundi, Kenna Laporte and Martin Mailloux (1:56:29) for mixed over 35.
