PERU — Kathy O'Connor of Plattsburgh recorded her fourth career hole-in-one Saturday and third at Adirondack Golf & Country Club. She used a Callaway 4 iron to sink her tee shot on the 123-yard third hole.

Reynolds team first in Paine scramble
WILLSBORO — The foursome of Harold Reynolds, Doug Haynes, Bill Mumford and Bill Cromie placed first for the men in the Paine Memorial Library Golf Scramble in memory of Ellie Campbell, which was held July 9 at Willsboro Golf Course.
Rene Lewis, Maureen Perry, Alice LeClerc and Kay Tekowitz claimed top honors for the women while Shawn Lydamore, Terry Lydamore, Theressa Marcotte and Jeff Marcotte won the Mixed Division.

Michelob Carver slated for July 31
PLATTSBURGH — The Michelob Carver Classic will be held July 31 at Bluff Point Golf Resort with tee times beginning from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The format consists of eight holes best ball, eight holes scramble and two holes of alternate shot.
Handicaps are added together then divided by 3 to form the Team handicap or by using lowest players handicap. (whichever is lower).
Cost is $80 for non-members or $50 for members/pass players. The fee covers golf, cart, prizes, skins and give-a-ways. Fees must be paid in advance and the field is limited to 24 teams.

Police Lodge 999 tourney Aug. 1
PLATTSBURGH — The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 999 Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start for the four-person scramble at The Barracks Golf Course.
All entry fees are per person and includes golf, cart and meal. The cost for members is $50 and for non-members, $65. The top three places will be awarded in the men's/mixed division and the top two for the women's division. There will also be closest to the pin for men and women, longest drive for men and women, and the most honest team.

Post 326 to hold event at Craig Wood
LAKE PLACID — The Post 326 American Legion Open will be held Sunday, Aug. 2, at the Craig Wood Golf & Country Club. There will be prizes for gross, net, Callaway, men's and women's longest drives and closest to the pins.

Junior, boys state qualifier in Placid
LAKE PLACID — The North Country qualifying site for the New York State Golf Association's Junior and Boys Championships will be held at the Lake Placid Resort's Mountain Course on Monday, July 20. Twenty-one golfers have registered to attempt to grab one of the spots available for the state championship, which will be held in two divisions at the Skeneateles Country Club Aug. 4-5.
The competition is open to boys who have not reached their 18th birthday on or before Aug. 5, and for the younger division, for boys who have not attained the age of 15 on or before Aug. 5. Entries have closed for this event.
Men's Mid-Am qualifier Aug. 24
LAKE PLACID — The NYSGA's men's Mid-Amateur Championship will be held at the Glens Falls Country Club Sept. 25-27. The area qualifier will be Aug. 24 on the Links Course at the Lake Placid Resort. It will be one of several held prior to the event throughout the state.
Those interested in playing must be age of 25 or older as of July 31, and can enter online at www.nysga.org.

Northern New York Senior event Aug. 6
MASSENA — The Northern New York Men's and Women's Senior Golf Championship will be held Aug. 6 at the Massena Country Club. The tournament, sponsored by Community Bank, N.A., is offering more than $3,500 in prizes in net and gross divisions and special events. Last year, more than 170 competed.
The tournament will be divied into six flights: 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75 & older. This year, for the seventh time, there will be a Senior Women's Division with prizes for both net and gross winners.
Play will begin with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start and conclude with dinner and awards at 5:30 p.m. The entry fee, including cart, is $47 for Massena club members and $65 for non-members. If you prefer to walk, the fee is $35 for members and $50 for non-members. The entry fee covers the entire day's activities. The deadline for entering is Monday, Aug. 3.
