You can look back over the last 70 years at some of the area athletes and personalities who made headlines in area sports. Flashback will revive memories of great local athletes and outstanding team successes.

Brockway leaving tonight for HOF
PLATTSBURGH — The Brockway Mechanical Senior Babe Ruth team will meet in the Penfield Park Lefty Wilson Field parking lot at 6:30 p.m. tonight for its' annual trip and game in Cooperstown on Tuesday. For more information, call Randy Lozier, at 572-6563.

Craig Wood to begin junior program
LAKE PLACID — Craig Wood Golf Club will begin its' junior golf program on Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. at the driving range. The cost is $5 per week and is open to all ages. For more information, call 523-9811.

Ti lists Hall of Fame inductees
TICONDEROGA — The Ticonderoga Sentinel Booster Club Hall of Fame Committee has announced Andy Mattison (Class of 1999), Michelle DeFranco (Class of 1999), Jayna Andersen McLoughlin (Class of 1999), Todd Henthorn (Class of 1988) and In Memoriam of Duane Crammond (Class of 1999) will be inducted into the club's Hall of Fame on Friday, September 25 during halftime of the Sentinels' Homecoming varsity football game against AuSable Valley.

ADK hikes July 10, 11
PLATTSBURGH — On Friday, July 10 join the Algonquin Chapter of the ADK on a moderately-paced hike up two of the Adirondack's 46ers, Colvin and Blake. This is a 14-mile round-trip hike and is considered strenuous. Bring rain gear, lunch, snacks and lots of water. Hike Leader is Elie Bijou (873-2119). Call ahead for details.

On Saturday, July 11 join the Algonquin Chapter of the ADK for a day on Poke-O-Moonshine's Summit Trail for rock work. This is also considered strenuous. Bring lunch, drinks and work gloves. The group will meet at 9 a.m. at the base of the trail at the south end of the campground on Route 9. Tools and directions will be provided by the Adirondack Mountain Professional Trail Crew. Leaders are David Thomas-Train (576-4592) and Tom Hayhurst (562-9989). Call for details.
