PLATTSBURGH — The Danny Loughan Memorial Golf Tournament will be held today at The Barracks. All golfers are requested to arrive at 10 a.m. for check-in and all volunteers at 9:30 a.m. There will be a shotgun start at noon.

Elks to host junior tournament
ROUSES POINT — The Plattsburgh Lodge of Elks #621 will host the 24th-Annual Russell Hutchinson Memorial Junior Golf Tournament on Thursday, July 16 at the North Country Golf Club. Tee times will begin promptly at 9 a.m.
The tournament, the Past Exalted Ruler and supporter of Lodge youth activities, will consist of three flights for both boys and girls: 12-14, 15-16 and 17-18. Winners in each flight will advance to the New York State Elks Junior Golf Championship in Rochester Aug. 16-17.
All Section VII students are eligible to compete. The $10 entry fee includes golf, lunch and prizes. Pre-registration is not necessary, but participants are requested to be at the course at 8:30 a.m.
Weaver, Woodward take first in league
PLATTSBURGH — The final standings in the Dannemora Fun Golf League at Bluff Point are complete and the team of Marv Weaver and Frank Woodward finished first with a 16-5 record.

Westport sports tourney July 17
WESTPORT — The Westport Central School Sports Recognition Tournament will be held Friday, July 17 with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start at the Westport Golf Club.
The cost is $60 for Westport Golf Club members abd $75 for nonmembers. It includes golf, cart, dinner, prizes and a DJ. To enter, call the Westport Golf Shop at 962-4470.
