Plattsburgh All-Stars fall to Watertown




WATERTOWN — The Plattsburgh Little League 11-12 All-Stars dropped a tough 7-6 decision at Watertown Wednesday night in the District #37 Tournament.

Plattsburgh held a 6-1 lead in the sixth inning when Watertown rallied to win.

Christian Jordan was the winning pitcher. Ryan Whalen took the loss in relief of Zach Bingel, who pitched the first 5⅓ innings.

Michael Stetz rapped a 2-run homer in the first inning for Plattsburgh and also added a single. Brandon Buksa, Garrett Frady and Gerrit Rietsema each added a hit for the local All-Stars.

The setback dropped Plattsburgh to 1-1 in the tournament. Plattsburgh will host Harrisville on Monday at 5:45 p.m. at Penfield Park.
