CANTON — Kayla Rabideau scored in the first half and Kristie Pageau found the back of the net in the second Tuesday in a 2-1 victory over St. Lawrence University.
The Cardinals advanced to 3-0 with the win.
Lindsey Keyser assisted on Pageau's goal, and St. Lawrence's Stephanie Sayward chipped in the Saints' only score on a scramble in front after a corner kick.
"Our team leadership and defensive presence was really strong," said Plattsburgh State coach Karen Waterbury. "Keyser, Kristie and Kayla really led our offensive attack tonight."
Rabideau got a step on her defender and put the ball inside the far post to open the scoring late in the first half.
"Kayla's finish was great," Waterbury said.
The Lady Cards picked up where they left off after the break, as Pageau redirected a nice cross by Keyser to give Plattsburgh a 2-goal lead 13:17 into the second half.
"Lindsey laid the ball across, and Pageau just put a nice one in the back of the net," Waterbury said.
Sayward cut the deficit to a goal at 81:55, but Radigan nearly made it 3-1 when she hit the post shortly after Sayward's score.
St. Lawrence doubled its shots in the second half with 10, but was unable to capitalize on three corners.
"I'm just pleased with the effort and pleased to get another win on the road," Waterbury said. "We played with a lot of confidence."
The Cardinals are at Ithaca Saturday.
