Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Malone swimmers win opener

MALONE — Sophomore Macy Silvester claimed four firsts and Emily Kemp won the 100-yard butterfly in impressive fashion to lead the Franklin Academy girls to a 62-31 victory over Salmon River in a Northern Athletic Conference girls' swim opener.

Silvester won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke and added firsts in the medley and 400 free relay. Kemp, who won the butterfly by 10 seconds with a time of 1:09.06, and Emily Smith were three-time winners for Malone.

Sierra Delormier was a triple winner for Salmon River.
