MALONE — Paragon Promotions followed the lead of Hogan's Heroes into the championship series in the Malone Women's Softball League.
Hogan's Heroes, which finished off Leroux Moira Store 3-2 Tuesday with a game-ending double play, had the tables turned on Wednesday as Paragon pulled off a double play of its own to cap a 10-9 triumph over Hogan's.
The tense victory sends Paragon into the best-of-three finals Friday night, against the winner of tonight's Old Time Butcher Block vs. BJ Carpentry semifinal. Play will begin at 6 p.m. both days.
Paragon jumped out to a seemingly safe lead Wednesday with nine runs in the first three innings. However, Hogan's battled back with five in the fifth.
