MALONE — The Outlawz made quick work of the Malone AmVets Slo-Pitch Softball championship series last week, taking the best-of-five finals in three straight.
The Outlawz defeated H & R Block 16-6 and 15-2 on Monday to take a commanding 2-0 lead and then completed the sweep with a 15-10, 8-inning victory on Tuesday.
Aaron Marshall, who socked two homers in Game 2, came back to belt a two-run shot in the seventh inning of Game 3, forcing extra innings. Joel Perry, who homered in all three games, then ripped a 3-run blast in the top of the eight after T.J. Leclerc's RBI single snapped the 10-all tie. Kris Phillips also homered in the series-clinching victory.
