ESSEX, Vt. — Beekmantown, with Jon Graziane leading the way, finished in third place out of 34 teams entered over the weekend in the Mikael J. Baker Wrestling Classic, held Friday and Saturday at Essex High School.
There were 270 wrestlers who competed on teams from Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts and New York.

Marshwood High from Maine won the team competition with 255.5 points, followed in second by Massebesic High, also from Maine, with 209.
The Eagles took third with 186.5, while Noble, Maine placed fourth with 185 and Albany Academy fifth with 113.
Graziane, at 126 pounds, took first place in his weight class.
The Eagles had seven wrestlers advance to the semifinals and nine matmen who placed.
Cody Watts finished second at 285 for the Eagles, while Trent Cook (99), Eathan Bacon (132), Gage Bourdeau (182) and Brandon Defayette (195) all placed fourth.
Zachary Myers (152) ended up fifth, while Mike Cartee (106) and Bruce Goddeau (220) were both sixth.
Other wrestlers competing for the Eagles included Anthony Cartee (113), Casey Provost (120), Ryan Turner (126), Ed Marioski (138), Casey Leclair (145), Dylan Peryea (160), Cody LaPlante (170) and Gage Cook (195).
