Beekmantown, the 2011 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys’ cross country champion, has a core of returning runners who will be looking for more success in 2012. Saranac will try to chase the Eagles down with a large team full of experienced runners, and Peru lost a star but has a number of returning athletes. Seton Catholic looks to contend with a small but veteran group of runners.

The Patriots did not have any seniors on last year’s roster, so six of the eight runners on this year’s team have varsity experience. There are two seniors, Paul Ford and Noah Lawrence, and sophomore Brandon Ruocco is also a cross-country veteran.

Northeastern Clinton
The Cougars are coming off a 4-12 CVAC record last year and could be hurt by a lack of experience this season. They lost four runners to graduation, and while they’ve got five new athletes to fill out the roster, that leaves them with just three who have competed in varsity cross country.
