Seniors bid adieu

PLATTSBURGH — Frank Buksa homered and singled and picked up the pitching win in relief Thursday as Team Davison recorded a 6-5 win over Team Marino in the Annual Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Senior Baseball Game held at Lefty Wilson Field.

Buksa hit a two-run homer in a three-run third that gave Team Davison a 5-1 lead. Team Marino scored four runs in the fourth to tie it before Team Davison won it with a run in the bottom of the sixth.

Dylan Carter, Josh Powers, Logan Miller and Kyle Patnode added a hit each for Team Davison, which was coached by Northeastern Clinton coach Jerry Davison.

Justus Ruff rapped a triple and single for Team Marino, which was coached by Peru's Brian Marino. Joe Tolosky, Zach Vaughan, Matt Terry and Jason Favaro each chipped in with one hit.
