Rabin Memorial tourney field set

WESTPORT — The Sixth-Annual Mark Rabin Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Wednesday at Westport Country Club.

The 35-foot Sledgehammer Putting Contest begins at 10:45 a.m., and the tournament begins at 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start.

The $5,000 Hole-in-One contest and the putting contest are both being sponsored by Shumway Insurance Agency. Dinner and awards ceremony begin at 6:15 p.m.

Tupper benefit tourney slated for Friday

SARANAC LAKE — The Fourt-Annual Tupper Lake Benefit Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Adirondack Medical Center Foundation, will be held Friday at the Tupper Lake Country Club. The tournament format is a Florida scramble with a noon shotgun tee-off.

The cost is $80 per person or $60 for Country Club members. The golf package includes cart, greens fees, registration gifts, barbecue and awards. Non-golfers are also welcome to attend the barbecue and awards celebration at 6 p.m. for $25.

To register, contact the AMC Foundation Office, at 897-2370. All proceeds benefit the services and programs of AMC.

First annual Heart Walk tourney Sept 19

PLATTSBURGH — The American Heart Association will hold its First Annual Heart Walk Golf Tournament at the Barracks Golf Course Sunday, Sept. 19. The tournament is a 4-person scramble with a noon shotgun start, and entry forms can be picked up at the Barracks or by contacting Mike Dodds at 293-7568 or Golf0069@aol.com, Wanda Flynn at 566-7450. Field is limited to 36 teams with a pre-paid deadline of Aug. 31. A total of $240 per team must accompany application. Registration fee covers green fees, cart, complimentary gifts and more. The early-bird special is $220.00 per team and must be paid by Monday, August 27. Fee for members of the Barracks Golf Course is $220 per team with an early-bird special of $200.

Cornell Ext. tourney, silent auction set

WARRENSBURG — The First-Annual Cornell Cooperative Extension Golf Tournament and Silent Auction will be held Aug. 28 at Cronin's Golf Course in Warrensburg.

All proceeds from this benefit will be used to help financially support Cornell Cooperative Extension's educational programs.

A donation of $75 per person includes: green fees, cart, barbecue, awards, and prizes. The tournament will begin with registration at 9:15 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The tournament format is a 4-person scramble.

If you are not a golfer but would like to join us for the awards ceremony, silent auction, and barbecue a contribution of $25 will be accepted. Barbecue will begin at 3 p.m.
