Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Remember, moderators are not allowed to edit any article comments. If an article comment fails any of the above criteria, the entire comment will be deleted.

PLATTSBURGH — Crown Point's Chelsea Dushane and Lindsay Brace shared Division II Most Valuable Player honors on the 2011 Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' softball all-star team.

Alexandra Macey was chosen to the all-star team from the Panthers, who captured the MVAC Division II, MVAC overall and Section VII Class D championships.

The remainder of the Division II squad included Westport's Elexus Vaughn, Christina Sherman, Brendee Russell and Molly Rascoe, and Keene's Amanda Boyle, Emma Gothner and Anna Kowanko.

Meanwhile, Division I champion Elizabethtown-Lewis had Kylee Cassavaugh chosen as the Most Valuable Player, while Kearstin Ashline, Andrea Le Vien, Alyssa Sullivan and Emily Morris were all named to the all-star team.

Chazy's Emily Keable and Astrid Kempainen, Schroon Lake's Liz Bessey and Willsboro's Kylie Swires and Emily Sayward rounded out the Division II team.

Minerva/Newcomb won in Division III and was represented by Most Valuable Player Tara Galusha, along with all-stars Marlena Peter and Renna Yandon.

The remainder of the Division III team included Indian Lake/Long Lake's Carli Reynolds, Emma Gray and Jessica Bain, Wells' Bobbi Joe Page, Karlie Tomlinson and Tammy Allen, and Johnsburg's Sierra Galusha.
