ROUSES POINT -- The Adirondack Builders Association Golf Outing will be held today at the North Country Golf Club. The four-man, best-ball scramble will get under way with a noon shotgun start. Tee assignments are:

Kathy O'Connor records hole-in-one
PERU -- Kathy O'Connor of Plattsburgh scored a hole-in-one Tuesday on the par-3, 123-yard third hole at Adirondack Golf & Country Club. She used a Taylor-made #5 hybrid. Witnesses were Alice Sample, Cornelia Forrence and Gerry Finney.
Moriah men's bowling league to meet
PORT HENRY -- The Moriah Men's League at Mineville Bowl will meet today at 6:30 p.m. at the Moriah Country Club. New bowlers are welcome.
William Pellerin on Seton Catholic team
PLATTSBURGH -- William Pellerin is also a returning member of the Seton Catholic varsity cross-country team. His name was omitted from the CVAC preview that appeared in Tuesday's Press-Republican.
PYH to meet tonight
PLATTSBURGH -- Plattsburgh Youth Hockey will meet today at 7:30 p.m. at the Clinton County Government Center. The meeting is open to the public.
Chazy hockey schedules registration
CHAZY -- Chazy Youth Hockey will hold registration sessions on Sept. 13, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Chazy Rec Park during the soccer tournament and on Sept. 22 and Oct. 14, from 6--8 p.m. at the Scotts' Memorial Rink. We will be accepting skaters for the IP/Learn to skate program, Mite through Midget levels for boys and U12 & U14 Girls teams.

Barracks to host Shadie Hawkins tourney
PLATTSBURGH -- The Barracks Golf Course will hold its second Shadie Hawkins Golf Tournament Saturday, Sept. 20, starting at 8 a.m. with tee times. It is a one-man scramble from the ladies tees with players using their handicap divided by three.
The cost is $30 for members, $50 for non-memers, and includes a skins game.

Barracks Member-Guest Sept. 27-28
PLATTSBURGH -- The Barracks Golf Course will hold its annual Member-Guest Tournament Sept. 27-28 with men's and women's divisions.
The cost is $160 per team and includes two days of green fees and cart, practice balls, along with drinks, raffles, and cash prizes for both days. A roast beef dinner will be served Saturday evening.
The format will be Saturday, Best Ball Net with each player getting full handicap. On Sunday, it will be a scramble with combined handicaps divided by 4.
There will be winners for each division both days and an overall winner on Sunday. Entries are available at the pro shop or by contacting Mike Dodds, at 293-7568, or Golf0069@aol.com.
Footrace at Fort Ti set for Sept. 20
TICONDEROGA -- The fourth annual Footrace at Fort Ticonderoga will be held Saturday, Sept. 20. It will be a scenic, cross-country 5K (3.1 miles) course featuring varied terrain of grass and gravel near the shores of Lake Champlain. It will follow the historic Fort Ticonderoga peninsula, finishing on the parade ground inside the walls of the fort.
The race will begin at 10 a.m. Race-day check-in and late registration will be 8:30-9:45 a.m. Entry fee is $15, $17 on race day. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 registrants.
The race also includes a three-member team event. Each runner and two spectators will receive complimentary admission to Fort Ticonderoga on race day. Fifers and drummers will hail the finishers.

NAC-AuSable soccer game day changed
ELLENBURG CENTER -- The boys' soccer game Northern Adirondack at AuSable Valley scheduled for Sept. 20 has been changed to Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m.
North Country Skating registration set
ROUSES POINT -- The North Country Skating Club (NCSC) will hold open registration on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and Tuesday Oct. 7, from 5:30--7:30 p.m., at the Rouses Point Recreation Center. NCSC offers group instruction for basic and freestyle levels Monday and Friday nights. Advanced skaters do not have group instruction.
The season will begin on Monday, Oct. 13 and continue through Monday, March 16. Registration fees are $190 for basic skills and $195 for freestyle and advanced. Payment plans are available; however, a $50 down payment is required at registration.
Saturday evening ice is available for an additional fee of $85 for the season. Private lessons are also available, but arrangements and fees are the responsibility of the skater and instructor.
