SARANAC -- Jordan Keysor and Ben Depo scored penalty kicks to break a 2-2 tie with Willsboro on Friday and lift the Saranac boys' soccer team into the championship game of the Saranac Early Bird Tournament.
The Chiefs will meet Northern Adirondack today.
Willsboro's Clay Sherman sandwiched two first-half goals around one from Saranac's Jason Pageau. Then Depo knotted the score in the 29th minute, and neither team could get another goal in regulation or a 10-minute overtime.
Saranac took a 2-1 lead in penalty kicks, and then Steve Rock stopped Willsboro's last attempt to clinch it.
Nate Turcotte had an assist for the Chiefs, and Alex Holdsclaw and Zach Hamel both played well. Rock finished with six saves.
Alex Hamel scored Willsboro's penalty kick. Justin Drinkwine made 15 saves in a solid effort in net.

Nick LaValley tallied two goals in the first half to help the Bobcats to a 5-0 victory over the Red Storm.
Tyler Smith netted the first goal just under two minutes into the game assisted by Andrew Manor. LaValley got the next two, the first on a penalty kick and the second from Jon Lashway.
Gabe Hynes scored the fourth goal of the game and first in the second half for Northern Adirondack. Manor assisted on the goal. Cody Golovach rounded out the scoring with a goal late in the second half assisted by Lashway.
Tyler Mesec needed to make just four saves in the shutout victory for the Cougars, while Brad Duby made 18 saves in net for Saranac Lake.
