PLATTSBURGH -- Thierry Bonnabesse lost only five games in four matches in rolling to his fourth consecutive North Country Tennis Association Men's Open Championship.
Bonnabesse defeated third-seeded Martin Drolet, 6-1, 6-0, in the final after beating fourth-seeded Rich Gottschall, 6-2, 6-1, in the semifinals. Drolet reached the final by upsetting No. 2 seed George Stackpole in their semifinal match.
Ashley Abar downed Cindy Root in the semifinals and Tiara Garrow in the final to win the Women's Open.
Adam Shearer, the No. 2 seed, bested top-seeded Alex Hall in a three-set final to win Junior Boys while top-seeded Mary McAuliffe outlasted No. 2 Annette Liem in a three-set final for Junior Girls.
Matt Slattery, Jocelyn Steggert, Chris Barnes and Meg Ryan won the consolation finals.
