PLATTSBURGH — Jeremiah St. Louis pitched a five-inning no-hitter in the first game and the Adirondack Timberjaxx went on to 17-0 and 16-5 sweep of the Fourth Ward A’s during Sunday’s final weekend of regular season play in the Champlain Valley Baseball League.
St. Louis struck out 12 and walked three.
Jeremy Desroches went three-for three for the Timberjaxx, while Paul Alioto and Jim Knight Jr. added two hits apiece. D.J. Barber and Alioto rapped home runs.
In Game 2, St. Louis, Alioto, Aaron Judd and Cory Desmarais all rapped out two hits each for Adirondack (8-12), with Tim Lafave homering in support of winning pitcher Chris Thompson.
Jason Mitchell and Matt Drollette paced the Fourth Ward with a couple of hits each.

PLATTSBURGH — Gary Duquette outdueled Mike Bergman in the first game and then the Meron’s/Expos rallied for three runs in the seventh inning of the nightcap to earn a split of their twinbill at Chip Cummings Field.
Duquette struck out 13 in tossing a four-hitter in the opener for Plattsburgh. Bergman also went the route and surrendered four hits.
The Cardinals broke a 1-all tie in the bottom of the fifth when Gus Terry doubled and Matt Duquette slugged a two-run homer.
Jared Jarvis drove in the Expos’ lone run with a single.
In Game 2, Bergman and Steve Cross each rapped two singles and a double for Meron’s/Renzi’s (13-7), which wrapped up second place in the American Divison.
Rob Malloy and Adam Porter paced Plattsburgh (17-3) with two hits each. The Cardinals took a 6-5 lead into the top of the seventh.

LYON MOUNTAIN — Jerry Kowalowski’s two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning of the opener rallied the Lyon Mountain Miners to a win in the opener.
Scott Baker then rapped two doubles, a triple and three RBI to lead the Miners (17-3) to their win in Game 2.
Kyle Kowalowski, Jerry Kowalowski and winning pitcher Dave Waldron led Lyon Mountain with two hits in first game.
Pat Hoey paced C.R. Tunes with three hits, while losing pitcher Billy Davis and Joe Defayette each added two.
In addition to Baker’s three hits in Game 2, the Miners’ Richard Chase, Kyle Kowalowski, Cody Weaver and Pete Kowalowski chipped in with two apiece. Joey Painter picked up the win.
Davis and Brandon Hatch led the Mudhens (8-10) with two hits each and Mike Bordeau drove in two runs.

SARANAC — Mark Passino rapped three hits in the second game, while Jacque DeMars added a triple and double as the Loreman’s Royals held on for their first victory of the season in a wild one.
Ian Brown and Jared Hammond also had two hits each for the Royals, who took the lead with six runs in the first inning and never lost it the rest of the way.
Shane Perrotte led Hockey Plus, which tried to come back from a 14-4 deficit, with three hits and Eric Bell added two.
In the opener, Joel Siskavich, Andy Gooch, Bell and Jeff Norton led the Padres (11-9) with two hits each. Mark Eggleston reached base all three time to the plate and was on base six of his eight trips to the dish in the two contests. Adam Brown picked up the pitching win in relief.
Passino, Nick Brindisi, Ian Brown, Matt Ormsby and Reilly Lawless all had two hits apiece for Loreman’s.

Hockey Plus has already forfeited its game to C.R. Tunes due to a lack of players available to field a team.
