Jeremy Rich, standout defenseman for Saranac Lake, is named to the New York State Hockey Coaches' All-State Team for the second year in a row.

Dave Gosnell belts a grand slam to lift the AuSable Forks Spirits to an 8-6 win over the Altona Bombers.
Jim Andre shoots a 224 for 54 holes to beat Chip Ward by 3 strokes in the Adirondack Open at the Lake Placid Club Resort. Andre also cards a 30-37-67 at Bluff Point to win the Sharron Cup and Rowe Senior Men's Cup with tournament- record scores.
