GREENSBORO, N.C. — Seton Catholic senior Genna Hartung placed seventh Thursday in the 5,000 meters at the Nike Outdoor Nationals.
Hartung, running in the last race of her high school career, finished in 17:48.29 on the track at North Carolina A&T; University. Emily Sisson of Chesterfield, Mo. won in 16:34.36, the second-fastest 5,000-meter time in the meet's 19-year history. Twenty four runners competed.
Hartung, who's headed to Cornell in the fall, won the Division 2 3,000 meters last weekend at the New York State Track & Field Championships and placed fourth in the 1,500.
