PLATTSBURGH — The Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Exceptional Senior Games took place at Seton Catholic Tuesday night.
In the boys' game the White team defeated the Dark team 75-60, while in the girls' game, the Dark team won 64-46.
Boys' Game
The White team took command lead early as they held a 34-24 lead at halftime. The White team was led by Kasey Lamberton of Northeastern Clinton, and Tyler Smith of Northern Adirondack with 12 points each, and Alex Fregeau of Seton Catholic and Ryan Murphy of AuSable Valley each had 10 points in the win for the White team.
The Dark team was led by Jason Lavarnway of Saranac with a game-high 14 points, Cody Wood of Saranac chipped in with 10 points, and Northeastern Clinton standout Matt Farbotko had 11 points in the loss.
Girls' Game
The Dark team handled the White team throughout as they held a 31-19 halftime edge. The Dark team had strong performances from Julie Thompson of Ticonderoga and Brigid Murnane of Seton Catholic, each with 16 points. Zoe Saulsgiver of AuSable Valley chipped in with 13 points in the victory.
The White team was led by Kaitlyn Myers of Saranac with 15 points.
3-point shootout/
Dunk Competition
Tyson Fernandez won the boys' 3-point shootout, beating Moriah teammate Jim Carlson, Josh Demaris of Ticonderoga, Wood, Smith and Pete Patterson of Northern Adirondack.
Myers won the girls' competition, beating out Emily Higgins of Plattsburgh High, and Saranac teammates Kelsey Newell, and Carissa Fournia. Fernandez and Myers then squared off in head-to-head competition in which Fernandez won.
Carlson earned the slam-dunk title beating out Farbotko, Kyle Kirby of Seton Catholc, Patterson and Jake Kelly of Ticonderoga.
