PLATTSBURGH — Northeastern Clinton won the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference regular-season championship and with it, an opening-round bye in the Section VII boys' hockey playoffs, which get under way tonight.
Plattsburgh High, runner-up in the CVAC, earned the No. 2 seed and the other first-round bye.
Third-seeded Beekmantown will host No. 6 seed Lake Placid tonight at the Field House at 7 while Saranac Lake, the No. 4 seed, will host No. 5 at 6:30 p.m.
The semifinals will take place Thursday and Friday with the final next Monday at 7 p.m. at the 1930 Ice Rink in Lake Placid.
