AuSable upsets NCCS

CHAMPLAIN — Alexandra Hoey accounted for 12 points, 19 kills and 24 digs to lead AuSable Valley to a 3-1 victory over Northeastern Clinton in the Section VII Class B volleyball quarterfinals Friday night.

Amanda Hamilton added 11 points, 15 digs and 31 assists for the Patriots, who won by scores of 25-15, 25-15, 22-25, 25-13. AuSable Valley will play its semifinal match at Beekmantown Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Emily Miller had six points and 12 kills, Karissa Fuller 10 points and three digs, and Shiloh Bourgeois nine points and 12 kills for AuSable Valley.

Alyssa Rabideau had 16 assists and 19 digs, Dakota Prue 19 digs, Catherine Dietsche five points, three kills and 10 digs, and Tessa Rogers five kills for Northeastern Clinton.

"We came out kind of flat," NCCS coach Brent Banker said. "AuSable Valley is playing really well. I think they're a team on a roll.

"Alexandra Hoey had a great match. She kept mixing up her back-row attacks, and we couldn't find them."

PLATTSBURGH — Ashley Rebideau had 11 points and eight digs to help the Hornets advance.

Plattsburgh High, which won by scores of 25-10, 25-13 and 25-19, will host Saranac at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Carly Fisher contributed 13 points, four aces and three kills for the Hornets. Kayla Hoopes added seven points, five aces and six kills.

Ayaka Abe led Peru with 10 points, three aces.
