BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Eagles clinched the regular-season championship Thursday night and moved to within one game of a perfect finish in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference volleyball.
The Eagles improved to 15-0 with a 25-12, 25-12, 25-20 sweep of the Northern Adirondack Bobcats. Beekmantown will travel to Northeastern Clinton on Monday for its final match of the season.
Brittany Lapham had an outstanding night for the Eagles with 15 points, including six aces, and seven kills, 23 assists, three digs and three blocks. Rosi Cummings, in her final home match, chipped in with 11 kills, two blocks, five points, two aces and eight digs while Kelsey Barnes served 12 points with five aces and had 15 digs. Hillary Sponable, another senior playing her last match at home, joined Steph Clookey and Colleen Bradley with five kills each.
Chelsea Warick and Kara Perry each had three kills and Stephanie Love served four points for NAC (4-10).

CLINTONVILLE — Alexandra Hoey turned in her strongest performance of the season to lead AuSable Valley to victory. The Patriots won 25-20, 25-20, 8-25, 25-16.
Hoey had a stellar night hitting and serving with nine kills, 19 points, nine aces, 27 digs and two assists. Amanda Hamilton
contributed 15 points with two aces and 12 digs and 20 assists for the Patriots (7-7). Shiloh Bourgeois came up with nine kills and Emile Miller, eight kills and three blocks. Karissa Fuller had six kills and seven points.
Kayla Nason had a big night for Saranac (10-5) with 11 kills and 11 points and three aces. Jamie Frenyea serived 14 points with three aces and also had 20 digs while Victoria Hutti served 11 points with three aces. Kelli Jock came through with six kills and two blocks and Rachel Leitsch, 13 assists and 10 digs.
