SARANAC — Despite both teams reaching at least 21 points in each game, Plattsburgh took care of business in three tries with a 3-0 victory over Saranac in games of 25-21, 26-24 and 25-21.
Roshell and Josella Gist played strong for Plattsburgh, recording 27 of the Hornets' 40 kills.
Kayla Nason had 10 kills, three points, an ace and five digs for Saranac, and Victoria Hutti tallied 11 points, with eight digs and an ace.
"Saranac played hard and didn't give up," Chiefs head coach Joanne Johnson said. "We played with a lot of heart."
Hannah Emery tallied eight points, 10 digs, five kills and two aces for the Hornets.
Johnson added that Kelli Jock played well for Saranac.
"Jock had a good evening tonight. When she got the ball, she did something with it."
Ashley Menard tallied 17 assists for Plattsburgh.
