SARANAC — Jordan Bushey's overtime win at 126 pounds Wednesday night helped give Peru a 42-22 win over Saranac in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference wrestling.
With the win, the Indians improved to 7-0 in the league with one match remaining and repeated as league champions.
The Chiefs, meanwhile, closed out their CVAC schedule with a 5-3 mark.
Bushey recorded a 5-4 victory over the Chiefs' Trevor Goddeau.
"No question, that was the best match of the night," Saranac coach Heath Smith said.
Max Marte (113) and Jake Goddeau (132) recorded pins for Peru, while Troy Seymour (170) and Ethan Feazelle (99) were winners by technical fall.
Josh Wright (152), Derrick Cumber (285), Nick Forget (138) and Noah Phillips (145) won by decision for the Indians, who also picked up one forfeit victory.
Paul Herrera (195) and Ben Perry (220) pinned their opponents for Saranac, while Joe Perry (160), Michael Charland (182) and Codie Gillette (120) won by decision.
The Chiefs got off to a good start by winning four of the first six matches.
The Indians then took over by taking eight of the next nine to pull away.
"Peru is a very strong team," Smith said. "We wrestled pretty well but lost a couple of close matches along the way.
"It was Senior Night for us, with Trevor Goddeau, Joe Perry, Ben Perry and Josh Ryan being recognized."

ELLENBURG — Northern Adirondack celebrated Senior Night with a win over the Eagles.
"Matt Carter (126), Kaleb Sample (132), Garrett Gero (170) and Russell Noel (195) all wrestled their last home match with class and distinction," NAC coach Jamie Gilmore said. "Beekmantown was short handed tonight but wrestled well just the same."
Scott Kellett (120), Hunter Carpenter (145) and Gero won by fall for the Bobcats, while Austin Trombley (99), Rusty Pombrio (106) and Sample recorded decisions.
NAC (5-2 CVAC) also won six matches by forfeit.
Gage Bourdeau (182) won by pin for the Eagles, while Konner German (113) and Jon Graziane (126) were winners by decision.
