WESTPORT — Willa McKinley connected on five 3-pointers on the way to a 26-point performance to lead the Eagles (12-1, 10-1) to a 57-28 victory over Schroon Lake Wednesday in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' basketball.
McKinley also had eight steals and five assists.
Allison Sherman added 12 points and Emily French six rebounds for Westport, which jumped out to an 11-2 lead in the first quarter.
The Eagles, leading by a 26-14 score at the half, went on a 17-4 run in the third to break it open.
Kate Rose was the lone Schroon Lake player in double figures with 10.

CHAZY — Lily Whalen scored 16 points to lead Elizabethtown-Lewis to its win.
Kearstin Ashline added 11 points and Shonna Brooks nine for E'town-Lewis.
The Eagles held an 8-7 lead after one, but the Lions outscored Chazy by a combined 29-15 margin over the middle two stanzas to take a 36-23 advanrage into the fourth.
Olivia Seymour tossed in 15 points for Chazy. Megan Reynolds added eight points and Katharine Tooke played a strong game with 12 rebounds.

CROWN POINT — Amanda Wolf had a monster game for the Patriots in their win over the Indians.
Wolf led all scorers with 15 points and pulled down 19 rebounds while blocking five shots for Crown Point (8-5, 7-3). Marissa Titus chipped in with 12 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks while Julianne Glebus finished with 10 points.
After leading 21-13 at the half, the Patriots used a 13-0 third quarter to pull away.
Samantha Zemken, Bobbi-Jo Page, Karlie Tomlinson and Desi Gallup all finished with five points to pace Wells (2-8).

"Willsboro made a 5-0 run to close the first quarter and then went on a 10-0 run to start the second, and they maintained that lead the rest of the game," Lake Placid coach Brenden Gotham said.
