Menard leads NCCS in bowling

MINEVILLE — Janelle Menard tossed a 170-195-492 series at Mineville Lanes Wednesday afternoon as the Northeastern Clinton girls wrapped up the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference bowling championship with a 4-0 victory over Moriah.

Katie Hawksby added a 161 game and Brianna Smith a 416 triple for the Cougars, who closed out the regular season with a 50-14 record.

Menard, Hawksby, Sara Adams and Katie Trombley are seniors on the NCCS team.

Rachel Demarais' 331 series was high for the Vikings.

On the boys' side, Chris Kokes rolled a 217 game and 513 series, while Joey Robert added a 182 game and 500 set to help give the Cougars (106-44) a 10-0 win.

Dillon Adkins' 161 game and 435 triple were the high scores for Moriah.

PLATTSBURGH — Jonas Miller tossed a 211-201-581 series and Josh Shaffer added a 201-528 at North Bowl Lanes to lead the Plattsburgh High boys to their win.

Jeff Bigelow rolled a 213 game and 565 series for the Warriors.

Holly Peterson's 194-176-513 triple and Emily Rohrig's 213 game helped the PHS girls take four points. Gabi Yeager's 177 game and 463 series were high for Willsboro.
