“It was a real good game; back-and-forth all the way,” Cougars coach Frank Dumas said. “It came down to the last three minutes; we just couldn’t hit a shot and had to foul a little bit.”
Northeastern Clinton trailed by just three points at the three-minute mark of the fourth quarter before falling cold.
Logan Snow added 10 points for AuSable Valley in the win.
Taylor Rabideau led the way for the Cougars with nine points, while Allie Cartier finished with eight.
“We played well and I am proud of the girls,” Dumas said. “AuSable is a tough club and they had really balanced scoring. It was just a good game and both teams played hard. They were just able to pull it out.”
