Limited SUNYAC hockey tickets released
OSWEGO — According to officials from Oswego State Athletics, a very limited number of tickets were released Wednesday for Plattsburgh State fans traveling to the State University of New York Athletic Conference Men's Hockey Championship in Oswego. The host Lakers and two-time defending conference champion Plattsburgh State Cardinals square off for the title at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Campus Center Ice Arena. Ticket are $8 each. The Oswego Campus Center Box Office hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and may be reached at (315) 312-3073. Plattsburgh fans should call with the code "Program Code 53" seats to Oswego ticket office.

Mountain Lions Club to meet tonight
SARANAC — The Mountain Lions Snowmobile Club will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Saranac Town Hall. All are welcome.

Lakers AAU sign-ups this weekend
PLATTSBURGH — The Lake Champlain Lakers AAU Basketball Program will be holding registration on Sunday at Seton Catholic from 2-4 p.m. The Lakers' program runs from March through the end of June.

This year's program will begin with a camp format starting March 20 and continue with the travel portion from April 26 through the end of June. All interested boys and girls ages 9-17 can sign up at this time. For more information, call Larry Converse at 563-3258 or check www.lclakers.org.

CVBL to meet on Monday
PLATTSBURGH — The Champlain Valley Baseball League will hold its first organizational meeting of the season on Monday, March 8, at American Legion Post 20. Bowl Mart nine-pin tourney tonight
ROUSES POINT — Bowl Mart Lanes will be holding a nine-pin tournament on Friday, starting at 7:30 p.m. Each participant bowls four games.

Handicap is based on 90 percent of 220. If a bowler does not have an average from last year, men will use 170 and women will use 140. For more information, call the Bowl Mart, at 297-6106.

Spring football sign-up begins March 6
PLATTSBURGH — Registration for spring football for all Clinton County students will be held at the United Way building, 45 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh on Saturday, March 6, from 5-7 p.m., and Saturday, March 13, from noon-3pm. Seniors are welcome to join. All junior varsity and varsity players are encouraged to join.

There will be a playoff game July 4 with Northern New York's best vs Canada's best.

First aid course being offered
PLATTSBURGH — The Coaches' First Aid Course, required by all high school coaches in New York State, will be offered starting next Monday, March 8, at 6 p.m. beginning in Room 306 at Plattsburgh Senior High School off Adirondack Lane.

The remaining classes will be held on Tuesday, March 9 and Thursday, March 11. This course will be taught by Mark Donnelly. No pre-registration necessary. Anyone up for renewals must attend two of the three nights.

PHS in need of girls' tennis coach

Little league registration March 8-9
PLATTSBURGH — Upcoming registration for the 2010 season of Plattsburgh Little League will be held on Monday, March 8, and Tuesday March 9, from 6-8 p.m. Children ages 7-12 (by 4/30/10), who live within the Plattsburgh Little League boundaries are eligible to enroll to play baseball.

Registration is required even if the child played previously and will be held at Stafford Middle School. At least one parent or legal guardian must be present, with proof of residence, and copy of birth certificate. The documents will be returned at registration. Saranac Lake qualifies for state tourney
SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake U-19 Girls, made up of girls from Saranac Lake, Bloomingdale, Keene, Tupper Lake, Salmon River, Lake Placid, and Paul Smiths, have qualified for the state tournament in Buffalo. A donation from NYSCOPBA will help cover the costs.

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State Men's Lacrosse has rolled out an official team blog on Tuesday; the link is http://gocardinalslacrosse.blogspot.com/ . With oversight by the Cardinals coaching staff, the team blog is primarily written by junior defenseman Dan DeFrancesco who will give readers an in-depth look at the program. Soccer United sign-up deadline March 20
PLATTSBURGH — Soccer United is holding final registration for all boys and girls with the deadline March 20.

There are openings with the U10 boys and girls, coached by Alfie Ladue; U12 boys and girl, coached by Tom Fortunatus; U14 girls, limited spaces available; U17 boys, coached by Chris Larose. Also accepting players for all age groups as practiced players.
