AUSABLE FORKS — John McCabe connected on a hole-in-one Monday at the AuSable Valley Golf Course.
McCabe used a 5 iron on the 168-yard ninth hole.

Bike rally for Hospice on Aug. 5
SARANAC LAKE — The 17th-Annual Tri-Lakes Motorcycle Rally for High Peaks Hospice and Palliative Care is on Sunday, Aug. 5.
Pipes will pop and echo near Lake Flower as engines rev for departure from our office on 19 Church Street in Saranac Lake, promptly at 11 a.m. for a spectacular ride looping through the Adirondacks. We will end at the PackBasket Diner in Gabriels for lunch and prizes.
All bikes and all riders are welcome as well as all non-riders and their families. There will be a 50/50 raffle, T-shirts and door prizes. Registration is from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at our office on the day of the rally. The cost of $25 per rider and $15 per passenger includes the ride, door prizes and lunch. The cost for non-riders is $15 per adult and $10 for kids 12 and under. We will gather rain or shine and all are welcome.
This rally raises vital money to help support End of Life Care in The Tri-Lakes Region. Moreover, the Rally brings together a diverse group of motorcycle enthusiasts from across the North Country for a day of riding and friendship, all in support of High Peaks Hospice & Palliative Care.

Beekmantown Y.C. offering soccer camp
BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Youth Commission is offering a soccer camp for children entering grades 1 through 12. The camp will take place July 30 to Aug. 3 at the Beekmantown Town Hall fields from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The cost, which includes a soccer ball, is $10 for Beekmantown residents and $40 for non-residents.
Parents can register their child at the Beekmantown Town Hall or the first morning of the camp from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Information and registration forms are also available at 561-1149 or www.townofbeekmantown.com.
O’Connor basketball tournament re-scheduled
PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Youth Bureau has re-scheduled the 12th-Annual Thomas J. O’Connor Memorial “Summer Hoops for Youth” 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament for Monday, Aug. 6, at the Dock Street parking lot, located behind the train station in Plattsburgh.
Registration will be accepted through Aug. 1. There is no charge to participate in this double-elimination tournament. Team check-in is from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and games will begin at 10 a.m. Awards will be presented to the top three teams in each age group as follows: boys’/girls’ 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15 and 16-18.
To pre-register, submit an entry form with birth certificates and parental signatures to the youth bureau. Or go to www.clintoncountygov.com and click on Youth Bureau to print off a registration form. Complete and return it to the youth bureau with all supporting documentation.

“Dutch” Craumer tourney results
PLATTSBURGH — Tom Svarplaitis, Brett Slater, Jesse Case and Matthew Svarplaitis took first place in the Ernest “Dutch” Craumer Memorial Golf Tournament held recently.
Second place was team ETS- Ryan Buck, Adam Husk, Andy Weaver and Aaron Minnamon and third place went to Dan Votraw, David Kerr, John Esposito, and Mike Esposito. Longest drive for the men was Tommy Bruno and women’s was Mary Frye. Closest to the pin for the men was Matthew Sarplaitis, and for the women it was Danielle Weineke.
AC North holding stick-n-puck, skating
PLATTSBURGH — Ameri-Can North Sports Center will hold stick-n-puck from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 27, and from 3:45 to 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 29.
Public skating will run from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. on Sunday.
‘Fast Feet’ results announced
PLATTSBURGH — The ‘Fast Feet’ track meet was held at the Plattsburgh High School athletic complex July 14.
The meet was held at the conclusion of the ‘Fast Feet’ track camp that took place July 9-13, but was open to everyone regardless of camp attendance.
Almost 30 kids from ages 3-12 ran in the hot conditions. Below are the results from the meet.

Drowne wins 5K at weekly fun run
CADYVILLE — Jeremy Drowne was a repeat winner in the 5K with a 16:45 time in Wednesday’s weekly Heart Smart Fun Run held at the Cadyville Recreation Park. The fourth in an eight-week series of runs was sponsored by the Town of Plattsburgh and CVPH as a way to encourage a healthy lifestyle for all ages.
Kolby Kitterle won the one mile in 6:41, Eamon Graves the half-mile in 3:28, followed closely by Brady Mannix in 3:30, and Quinn the one-quarter mile in 2:08, with Grace Willmott a second behind in 2:09.
The next fun run will be held at 6 p.m. tonight.
