POTSDAM — Call him the Dahmenator.
Mats Dahmen won two individual events and aided two relay teams to victories as Plattsburgh High won the Section VII-X swimming title at SUNY Potsdam Saturday.
The Hornets finished with 368.2 points, a healthy distance from second-place AuSable Valley's 225. Malone came in third with 198.
The event winners advance to the state meet at Nassau Aquatic Center on Long Island March 4-5.
PHS finished with five first-place finishes and the same amount of second and third.
Dahmen, a foreign exhange student from Germany, won the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.57 and the 100 freestyle in 50.18.
He teamed with Brent Bond, Brian Goodell and Adam Emery to win the the 200 medlay relay, and then, with Emery, Nick Prenoveau and Nate Leopard, won the 400 freestyle relay.
The Patriots won four events as Ben Ford and Hank McCormick were each two-time winners.
Ford won the 500 freestyle (5:25.47) and 100 backstroke. (1:03.55), while McCormick took first in the 200 freestyle (1:58.36) and 100 breaststroke (1:12.58).
Dan McGovern, the lone swimmer from Beekmantown, won the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly.
