MALONE — The Malone Adult Basketball League regular season wraps up this week with a couple of big division matchups Saturday night.
The Brasher Vets, clinging to a one-game lead in the Senior Division, will take on second-place Adirondack Chiropractic in the 6 p.m. game at St. Joseph's Comunity School with Black & Blue Division leader P & M playing PAPAS Dairy in the nightcap at 7:40. P & M, 13-2, leads PAPAS by one game.
The league's top guns were prepping for the postseason last week with two players netting 40 or more points and seven figuring for 30 or more.
Austin Martin fired in 44 to spur Fella's to a 104-69 victory over Drummer's while Tom Pickering poured in 40 to lead Smith Towing to a 74-71 win over Adirondack Energy. Dustin Stover scored 33 for Adirondack in that contest.
Travis Gorham had a huge night for International Border, picking up 35 points, 22 rebounds and eight assists in a 95-91 triumph over Mama's Milkers. Teammate Ricky McCann chipped in with 30.
Chris Castine collected 35 points and 14 rebounds to lead unbeaten Chateaugay Bowl to a 109-79 victory over HelmHaven Farms.
Jarrad Dumont also netted 35 the same night, and Scott Mitchell added 21, but that wasn't enough to keep Trim's Lawn Care from falling to Cantwell & Cantwell 98-83. Craig Carriero led the winners with 30 points.
Jason Bushey drained 31 to lead Mary's Sunrise Cafe to an 84-65 win over Fleming's.
