MALONE — Bangor and Jean's Quik Stop posted victories last week to reach today's semifinals of the Franklin CYO Basketball League playoffs.
Jean's will take on unbeaten Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club at 11 a.m. today in one semifinal while Bangor and St. John Bosco will meet in the second at 1:30 at St. Joseph's School in Malone. The consolation and championship games are scheduled for next Sunday, at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Quinton Garrand and Jon Benware led the winners with 19 and 17 points respectively, while each hauling in nine rebounds.Maranatha was again led by Justin Preve, the biggest "little man" in the league who tallied 11 points and 3 rebounds, followed by Tyler Childs with 10.
Jean's Quik Stop 57 North Star 46
In the four-five matchup, it was Jean's advancing in a game that proved to be closer than the final score indicates. Garrett LaBare led the winners with 19, followed by Travis Gainer with 15. North Star was led by Jon Donahue with 16, Brandon Bouvia with 12, and Chris Cook with 10.

Ricky Cramer and Mike Gordon led the winners with six apiece. Missy McCarger, Justin Donahue, and Jordan Rankin scored four each for North Star.
