SARANAC — Bryanna Evoy had 24 points and 11 assists to help Saranac hold off Northeastern Clinton 3-2 in a Section VII Class C volleyball quarterfinal Tuesday.
The Chiefs will play AuSable Valley in today’s semifinals.
Saranac won the first, third and fifth game Tuesday. Ali Harpp served 21 points, including five aces, and added five kills. Ashley Byerley had 16 points, seven aces and five kills, and Sara Wood contributed 19 points, 9 aces and seven kills. Kaylee Couture chipped in 14 points, while Sam Aierle had 12 points and 14 assists.
Northeastern Clinton’s Amanda Tallon had nine points and 20 assists, and Ellen Reid distributed 16 assists. Brenna McCoy had a team-high eight kills, Stephanie LaValley added seven aces and Ashley McCoy had six blocks.
