---- — Open Family Swim night announced
PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department will begin sponsoring an Open Family Swim night at the Wellness Center at PARC.
The program begins on Nov. 2 and will continue every Friday from 7-p p.m. through March. These sessions are not only for children, but are open to all ages not in diapers.
There will be a charge of $2 per person for all participants and children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Lifeguards will be on duty at all times.
Participants have use of the locker rooms, but everyone using the facility is responsible for bringing their own towel and it is recommended that water shoes be worn.

location changed
PLATTSBURGH — The location of the Clinton county Youth Bureau and Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department’s Trick-or-Trot Halloween fun run has changed.
The event will be held at the City of Plattsburgh Gym Complex on the U.S. Oval. The runs are for youth ages 4-13 and their families. Registration for the runs will begin at 4:30 p.m. and runs will begin at 4:45 p.m.
After the runs, participants are invited to stay for Halloween themed healthy snacks, drinks and games provided by area agencies. Participants are invited to wear their Halloween costumes and all activities are free.

ceremony Nov. 5
CHAMPLAIN — The Northeastern Clinton Central School fall athletic award ceremony will be held Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
All JV and varsity athletes that participated on a fall athletic team are to attend this ceremony. Athletes need to dress appropriately for the ceremony.

public skating
set for Sunday
PLATTSBURGH — The Ameri-Can North Sports Center will hold stick ‘n’ puck on Sunday from 12:30-1:45 pm.
Public skating will take place from 4-5:30 pm.
Algonquin
Chapter of Adk
announces events
PLATTSBURGH — The public is invited to join the Algonquin Chapter of Adirondack Mountain Club at their monthly program and meeting Nov. 2. Both the program and meeting take place in the second floor auditorium of the Old Clinton County Courthouse and are free to the public.
The program, which begins at 7 p.m., will feature a photographic journey and PowerPoint entitled ‘Adventures in Costa Rica’ presented by Bunny and Bob Adler. The meeting follows the program at 7:45 p.m.
On Nov. 3, there will be a visit to the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge in Wilmington where the refuge’s mission to rehabilitate injured wildlife and take a ‘wolf walk’ will take place. This is a family outing with no fee, but donations to the refuge are appreciated.
