PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh High was on the verge of being knocked off by Peru Tuesday in the Section VII Class B girls' basketball quarterfinals.
The fifth-seeded Indians took a 37-28 lead into the final stanza.
But the fourth-seeded Hornets rallied, outscoring Peru 19-11 in the fourth en route to a 47-38 victory that puts them into the semifinals.
Three players finished in double figures for Plattsburgh High (10-8), led by Marle Curle's 15 points. Kianna Dragoon added 14 points, and Olivia Carlsson had 12.
Dragoon had nine points in the fourth quarter.
The Hornets will take on top-seeded Saranac at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Northeastern Clinton.
Jessica Decker scored a team-high 15 points for the Indians, who extended a five-point halftime lead by outscoring Plattsburgh High 10-6 in the third quarter.
"Peru stepped it up defensively in the third quarter. Olivia Carlsson did a great job handling the ball," Plattsburgh High co-coach Joe Staves. "Her and Curle both.
"Coach Manchester did a great job setting up our defense."
Meghan Mazzella added seven points for Peru (10-8).

Beekmantown 62, NCCS 46
BEEKMANTOWN — There will be a new Section VII Class B girls' basketball champion this year.
Shannon Ryan had 21 points to power the Eagles into the semifinals over the Cougars, who won Class B last season.
Katrine Fogelstroem chipped in with 16 points for third-seeded Beekmantown (15-4), and Emily Anderson added 12.
The 16th-ranked Eagles held a 33-23 lead at the half. They held Northeastern Clinton to just four free throws in the final quarter.
Beekmantown will play AuSable Valley in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Friday at Northeastern Clinton.
Skyler Hebert paced the Cougars with 17 points.
"Both teams were shooting very well," Waters said. "Hebert had a big first half for them. She had 12 in the first half. For us we had balanced scoring throughout the game. As a team, we stepped up as defense in the fourth quarter."
Jordan Dominic added eight points and Justine Rabideau had seven for sixth-seeded Northeastern Clinton (7-11).

CLINTONVILLE — Meghan Strong's record-setting performance helped put the Patriots into the semifinals.
Strong led 17th-ranked AuSable Valley with 18 points on six 3-pointers, tying a single-game school record for triples in a game. Her sixth 3-pointer pushed her season total to 40, also a new school record.
The Patriots, the No. 2 seed, jumped out to a 22-6 lead in the first quarter and held a 37-14 halftime advantage.
Alexis Facteau had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for AuSable Valley (16-3), and Taylor Saltus added 10 rebounds, six points and five assists.
Nicole Viscardo and Megan Kilroy each scored 12 for seventh-seeded Saranac Lake (3-16).
The Patriots will play Beekmantown in Friday's semifinals.
