Volunteers applauded

TO THE EDITOR:  As we continue with our summer programs, we would like to acknowledge our volunteers who make all of our programs possible.

This year, we had 12 baseball/softball teams participate in the county program and five T-ball teams, which were instructional for youth that were ages 5 and 6.

All of our teams were made possible by our volunteer coaches, who thoughtfully gave up their time from the beginning of May to the end of July.  Without them, our summer season would not have been a success.

On behalf of the Town Council and the parents and children who participated in this program, a huge thank you goes out to the following volunteer coaches: T-Ball, Tara Chase, Mike Hagadorn, Lawrence Moore, Jerry Defayette, David McIlwain; Grasshopper Level,  Mike Daniels, Jason LaBarge, Robin Van Weort, Beth Montville, Dan Madden, Jason Marsh; Pee Wee Level, Craig McCasland, Joe Chilbert, Bill Lebeau, Bob Fall, Robert & Ladieu, Regina McIlwain; and Pony Level, Chris Delutis.

A thank you goes out to the Clinton County Youth Bureau for putting together a great baseball/softball schedule and for running an efficient league.  Also, thanks to all of the officials in the league, especially those who were officials in Cadyville, Cumberland Head, East Morrisonville and North Plattsburgh.  Devin Butchino, Michael Conway, Dalton Exford, Christopher Fall, Rebecca Favreau, Dan Goslin, Ethan Goslin, Mackenzie Kirkey, Matthew Meuiner, Samantha Swiesz, Jarrett Wright and Nathan Zucker were officials for all of our home games. You did an excellent job, and I hope that you will continue in the future.

It never ceases to amaze me to see how everyone in our area steps up and offers their time and assistance to youth recreation programs.  We could not run our programs without their expertise.
