Paranoid delusions

TO THE EDITOR: If Mr. Seney believes President Obama (and, yes, Mr. Seney, it is disrespectful to Islam and the USA to call him a sheik) is going to take our guns, why don't executives at the gun companies buy their stock? Whom, by the way, have sold millions of dollars worth of shares this year alone! NO BUYING. Why are the shares at Sturm & Ruger stock at its 52-week LOW Mr. Seney?

Seems your beliefs, Mr.Seney, are in your own mind. Paranoid delusions, it appears.

Mariners' success

TO THE EDITOR: The 2010 Clinton County Mariners American Legion Baseball season has come to another successful end with the help of a lot of hard-working people.

A huge thanks goes out to fellow committee members, Rick Reynolds, Dick Knowles Sr., Kris Doorey, Dave Davis, Rob Knowles and Floyd Rock. Their assistance has been a big help to me.

Again, Rick and Bonnie Reynolds of Mainely Lobster and their entire staff, continue to show their dedication and support to this program. To Post 1619 West Plattsburgh (Commander Mike Rock, Al Daniels, Hummer Rock, Bob Way and Doug Stevens), Post 20 (Commander Dale McMahon, Art Maggy and Dave Graves and Donald Rushford), your legion support has been tremendous over the years.

Also, to Coca-Cola, Finney Sports, Foster Sports, Loreman's, Greg at Frito-Lay, Umpire Assigner Tom Kowalowski and the entire Umpire Association.

To all the players and their parents, your dedication to the long season was again outstanding. To Kim Bosley and all the parents who worked so hard during our home tournament in the concession stand and making sure all the kids were fed when we went on the road.

Also, to the Press-Republican and Bob Goetz and John Coryer for their continued great coverage of Mariner baseball.

A sincere thanks to John Flynn and Mark Leta for all their hard work and putting another respectable team on the field, as well as off the field, and to their wives and families for allowing me to take away their summers.

A tip of the hat to Mrs. Flynn and Mrs. Leta for putting up with me and all that goes with this program. A very special thanks to Julie Gordon for allowing me to spend so much time doing what I love to do.

i am looking forward to the 2011 edition with excitement and new announcements.

Trust at issue

TO THE EDITOR: A recent flyer distributed by my assemblywoman has the term trustworthy in the largest font.

I trust she will continue to cost us more money with her continual sponsorship of unfunded mandates. I trust that taxes under her leadership will maintain their rise. I trust that she will continue to press political favors and broker back-room deals in order to stay in office. I trust she will continue with her arrogance. I would love to see her in a debate with fiscal conservative Dave Kimmel.

I trust she will try and avoid a debate with Kimmel at all costs. If one happens, I trust she will struggle.

Knowledge, expertise

TO THE EDITOR: I have been in the company of David Kimmel many times since meeting him last year during Doug Hoffman's congressional campaign.

I highly recommend him as the Conservative candidate for the upcoming New York State Assembly November election. He has specific economic and employment ideas, so sorely needed for our local communities and we need to give him the position as our assemblyman so that we can benefit from his knowledge and expertise.
