FA Players omitted
TO THE EDITOR: Imagine my surprise when I was reading the article "North Country's alive with the sound of musicals" this morning (Sunday, March 7) and found no mention of Franklin Academy of Malone. Franklin Academy's Fa Players have been working hard on "All Shook Up" and will be performing March 26 and 27.

Last time I checked Malone was in the North Country and for FA Players to work so hard and not even get mentioned is just not right. I hope that you can make this right by mentioning them. Pictures would be nice also.

Program in a slide
TO THE EDITOR: After another total disaster season of Plattsburgh State women's basketball, one would have to wonder when a changing of the guard will come. How many more embarrassments will there be? When will the athletic director take a long look at this program?

Take a look at the number of players who left or chose not to return to play for this coach, and don't get me wrong, there are a few talented player's on this team. I would take three high-school teams in this area (Saranac, Northeastern Clinton and Peru) over the Cardinals only because they would be coached, something the Cardinals don't have.

But I would admit to this if the "Coach of the Year" award was based on two things and two things alone. Coach Cole would win hands down. After all, you have to do more than stand next to the water cooler with your hands on your hips (1) and see how many times during a game you can flip your hair (2).

Time for a changing of the guard at Plattsburgh State women's basketball.
