Speakout entries that are more than 100 words long will be rejected. Also, don't type all in capital letters and don't insult a specific person or use hateful language because those will be rejected also.
Please take a minute to proofread and spellcheck your entry before you send it. Look for spelling errors, grammar mistakes and words that should be capitalized but aren't. It takes time to correct the many errors that arrive in Speakout entries, so it's a big help if you check them over first.
Carrots
I can't imagine why someone, before you get into Mooers Forks on Route 11 would have carrots in their back yard? They are hidden pretty good, too, about 50 feet from the railroad track. They don't have livestock of any kind, so that could only mean one thing, don't you think. I think the DEC should take a ride by; I think that is called baiting deer.
Seniors
It would seem that all coaches would want to give their seniors their moment of glory. Let them start the last few games that they will ever play for their school. Let them hear their name being announced as a starter. Then sub them out after a couple minutes with the players that the coach feels are the stars. If the seniors are not able to hold their own for a couple minutes to start a game, that doesn't say much for the coaching staff. How long have they been playing?
Bridge
DOT acting commissioner says they are working as fast as they can; how fast is a snail's pace anyway? Are you kidding me? This is New York, what a joke. It will be years before the bridge is replaced, and there will be other bridges that will be a priority over Crown Point. There are 110 bridges that are as bad or worse, and I'm sure politicians with more clout will be taken care of first. The Lake Champlain Transportation Co. is getting rich off of the closure, the ferries are not free, tax dollars are paying for it.
Obama
There are some policies I don't agree with President Obama on, but people, please realize he's been in office since January. There's no magic switch to change the economy overnight. What did the Republicans do to try to stop the downturn or restart the economy while they had President Bush and majority of the seats in Congress and in the Senate? Not a whole heck of alot. Ten months can't change what's been done over eight years.
