Fox

Fox News fans jumping on the "I hate the mosque" bandwagon being orchestrated by the RNC should think about the fact that Saudi Prince Alwaleeld bin Talal is the most prominent owner of Fox News second to Rupert Murdoch. So I guess this means if you watch Fox News, the terrorists win.

Mosque

The mosque near ground zero should really not be an issue. It is not about religion, it is only nationalism. Issues like this always come up at election time, to draw attention away from the farce that our government has become. If it was a real issue, then we should hold Christians more accountable for the slaughter of entire civilizations. My only concern with the Mosque is that a very valuable piece of property will become tax exempt.

Ferry

I want to let everyone know who rides the Cumberland Head ferries to check your receipts if you use the commuter cards. I have been charged so much as if I was driving a tractor trailer when I'm a walk on. I have been overcharged numerous times for a car too. If you're not careful they will overcharge you and you lose your money.

Grammar

Regarding grammar, if you don't like reading comments that are poorly composed and have little to no punctuation then my suggestion would be pass over those and move on to another. Not everyone has the ability or desire to be grammatically correct or use the education they may have received in school and others may simply write that way to not give away who they really are, which I have seen happen many times over so please be a tad more polite and not so critical enjoy your day.

Hannaford

To the person who said the traffic was dangerous and congested at the Price Chopper parking lot. I certainly agree. The answer to the problem is simple: Go to Hannaford where the parking, the prices and the quality is all better. Problem solved.

Jobs

If Plattsburgh wants some real jobs go after the Air Force to bring the F-35s to PLB. The people in and around Burlington, Vt., do not want the noisy F-35 which will replace the older F-16s. The F-35s are much louder and not wanted at all in Vt. PLB would be a perfect base and with them the crews and support crews that would add millions to the local economy. The air force is talking up to 25 aircraft, about 300 crew and support people. That's not including the families that will move to the Plattsburgh area.

Gas

It's nice to have a new gas station and mini-mart in Saranac, but I noticed on my way to work that the price of regular gas was $2.85; on my way home, it had jumped to $2.95. This wasn't a one-time occurrence, as I've seen the price fluctuate between these two points over the course of numerous days. What's going on?

Supervise

Bullying happens at all grade levels, and if you care to pretend it doesn't then fine. I simply wish the school systems would hire playground monitors that actually monitor the playground and don't just stand around in a corner yapping with each other. Get out there and supervise like you are supposed to. Stop that harsh play and mean name calling when it happens otherwise you are becoming part of the problem by not correcting the behavior when it happens. Wake up and do your job. Administration, step in and supervise your supervisors.

Farmers

Farmers are the only ones who buy at retail prices and sell at wholesale prices. Think about it. How can they possibly survive?

'Heroes'

Thank God, the cops are flying low tight circles over everyone's houses. I feel so safe knowing these heroes are up there protecting us from our selves. Money so well spent. Since all of the burglary, assault and rape cases have been solved it seems like a wonderful use of our tax dollars. We feel so safe with you up there taking inventory of our back yards. We love being monitored while driving, enjoying public spaces and in our back yards. Will you please install cameras in our homes? Thank you for keeping us in line. We're lost without you.
