Speakout: March 12, 2010

R.S.V.P.
I cannot understand why parents do not respond to birthday-party invitations. R.S.V.P. means just that — please respond. It is rude and inconsiderate to not let one know if your child is coming or not. Please be responsible, and do the right thing!

Managers
You might think you're a great manager, but you favor certain employees, make sharp comments to them at times when you're pulling your power struggle, you have changed your rules many times for your own self-improvement! Good managers are steadfast in all walks of the job and clearly treat all employes the same at all times! Improvement is greatly needed, so wake up to the managers who see themselves as the I'm always right! Other employees who work for you are really trying hard, but your unfairness isn't proper!

Changes
As far as pointing blame for lack of the waterfront hotel. First I do not believe anyone wanting to chase the project would be chased away that easy. The issue has been around forever. Do we really think in this economy a project of such is a desire? As one who now lives in the Middle East I get to visit Plattsburgh about every six months. Every time I return I can see many positive changes. I guess someone must be doing something right. Through the eyes of an outsider there is a bigger view. Keep up all the good work "¦ whoever!

Blame
People — start taking responsibility for yourself. It's not the government's fault, not your neighbor's fault, nor your family's; not your bank's or the school, either. If you can't make the team, get good grades, get a job, buy your dream home, or whatever, find out why and do something about it besides whine and complain and blame the person(s) who said 'no.' Nowhere in our Constitution does it say life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness gets handed to everyone on a silver platter.

Busing
NCCS — I am sort of bewildered that we have buses for after-school detention but not for honor students testing for advanced placement. What is wrong with this picture?
