Would the woman who purchased two quilts at a yard sale on Oak Street on Sunday July 8 please return them and get refund or renegotiate price? They weren’t mine, and I didn’t see tags on them and sold to you way below value. You may have noticed tags after getting home. Thanks.
Stop
OK, people, there is no stop sign when turning right as you leave the Sam’s side of the Wal-mart plaza. Turn right, stay in your lane and merge later. Do not sit there and block traffic for no reason. You have a dedicated lane, use it.
Substance
Grandma and Grandpa, or maybe even you, took your prescribed controlled substance this morning. Cuomo said your pharmacist has to register that in a database. A cop scans your license plate, sees you are driving under the influence of drugs, just for following doctor’s orders. Progressives.
Beach
Remember when you couldn’t find a place to put your towel at the City Beach. The Canadians loved our beach, and they were great for our local businesses. The city or chamber should invest a few dollars in a nice TV ad and market our great beach on Montreal stations.
Speed
Please stop speeding down Oak Street; we love our children. Why do you feel the need to drag race where small children play? I bet you would be throwing a fit if this was done on your street.
Ring
To the man at the hospital who looked me in the eyes and said he didn’t find my daughter’s class ring, the surveillance tape proved it had to be you. There’s no pawn value. Develop a conscience and turn it in anonymously to the City Police. No repercussions. Reward being offered.
Smells
To the person with the problem of bad smells in the taxi. I have been a driver for City Taxi of Plattsburgh and also a customer for a very long time. I have seen it from both angles. My company takes pride in their taxis.
Boys
I am writing this because of Father’s Day. What I don’t understand is when you hear a lot about how fathers love their daughters or when you know of a father that just wants boys. So, dads, love them no matter what they are. God made them, and they are equal.
Lane
The new victory lane deal does not work. It is not fair for the drivers or sponsors. Go back to the old way; the little time saved is not worth losing sponsors and fans.
Food
Congrats on your wild-food articles. I love lamb’s quarters and wild strawberries, too. But the best way to eat wild strawberries is one at a time. Every berry has a different flavor. One may be sweet, and the next one tart. One juicy and the next more dry.
DMV
The Motor Vehicle Department should have one window for people who have multiple registrations to complete. They are evidently on company time. This window would stop the single-registration line from backing up to Margaret Street. Many of the single-registration people are on their lunch break.
Emissions
Irony. New York state telling me my car doesn’t pass inspection because of emissions, while NASCAR race cars have no emission equipment at all. Come to think of it, none of the space shuttles came with catalytic convertors.
