Trip to historic Philadelphia sites planned
The Senior Citizens Council is offering a tour of historic Philadelphia with sites in Reading and Harrisburg from May 14 to 17.
The trip includes a day of guided tours of Philadelphia, including stops at Independence Hall/Liberty Bell, the National Constitution Center and a driving tour of the city to various sites. A visit to Reading for the Mid Atlantic Air Museum, the Pagoda, the National Civil War Museum and a paddle-wheel riverboat ride on the "Pride of Susquehanna" to view a distinctive and historic view of Harrisburg is also planned.
The tour includes coach transportation, three nights at the Hampton Inn in Reading, luggage handling, three breakfast buffets, three dinners and admission to all activities and sites.
The double occupancy rate is $520 per person, and a deposit of $200 is required to secure a seat. Balance can be paid down at your convenience, with a final payment due April 2.
