PLATTSBURGH — "Treasure Hunters Roadshow" is coming to town.
From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, people are invited to bring treasures they'd like to sell to the Super 8 motel, 7129 Route 9, Plattsburgh.
The Roadshow is not a television program but one is expected to be in production soon, according to the organization's Web site.
"The Treasure Hunters Roadshow represents thousands of private collectors from around the world who are actively seeking items for their collections antiques and collectibles for their collections," the Web site says.
Representatives use the Internet and phone to broker deals for items brought in for consideration
Recent finds include a 1960s vintage guitar purchased for $100,000, a press release said. "...'Treasure Hunters Roadshow' is a place where anyone in your community can connect with collectors from around the globe. Our treasure hunters make offers based on what our collectors are willing to pay."
Items of interest include coins, paper money, jewelry, platinum, silver, toys, dolls, trains, musical instruments and watches ... "Anything old or unusual," the release said.

Gardening workshops offered
PLATTSBURGH — Cornell Cooperative Extension's Master Gardener volunteers will lead a series of gardening workshops through Saranac Continuing Education this spring.
Today a class on garden diseases takes place at Saranac Elementary School. A class on square-foot gardening is Friday, March 26, at Morrisonville Elementary. And Wednesday, June 2, there will be a class on lilacs, also at Morrisonville Elementary. All classes start at 6:30 p.m. and cost $10. Vendors sought for museum marketplaces
BLUE MOUNTAIN LAKE — The Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake celebrates local artisan food preparation this year with its new exhibit "Let's Eat! Adirondack Food Traditions."
As well, three food-related events are planned: "Picnic in the Park" on Saturday, July 10; "The Adirondacks are Cookin' Out" July 29; and the annual Harvest Festival Oct. 2 and 3.
The museum seeks Adirondack vendors to sell their products at marketplaces held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the day of each event. Products may include jams, jellies, syrups, honey, sauces, marinades, meat, eggs, dairy items, fruits and berries (fresh or dried), vegetables, herbs, condiments, cider, teas, candy, granola and baked goods. Pre-packaged mixes and prepared foods are also welcome.
Ten-by-10-foot lawn booths will be available for $25 per event.
