Nazarene Church to host Parents Night Out event

PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh Nazarene Church, 187 Broad St., will host Parents Night Out from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 3.

Moms and dads can drop off their children ages infant through sixth grade for a free evening of pizza, gym games, crafts and other activities. Children are asked to wear or bring sneakers.

Marriage conference set for Valentine's Day weekend

PLATTSBURGH — First Assembly of God Church will be hosting "Marriage on the Rock," a simulcast by MarriageToday founders Jimmy and Karen Evans, over the Valentine's Day weekend, Feb. 10 through 11.

The seminar, which takes place at the Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas, will be broadcast at the church, at 164 Prospect Ave., Plattsburgh. The simulcast is from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Feb. 10 and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Evanses will reveal how couples can have an intimate, passionate, fulfilling and healthy marriage. MarriageToday utilizes seminars, a monthly magazine, a national TV program and more than 100 marriage-building resources in pursuit of that mission.

The seminar is for couples who are making plans to get married or are desperate to improve or save their marriages, solidify their blended families or build a more balanced, successful family. The cost is $15 per couple.

UMC district superintendent to lead worship service

MORIAH — The United Methodist Church of Moriah welcomes the Rev. William Mudge, district superintendent of the Adirondack District of the Upper New York Conference, to lead the worship service at 11 a.m. Feb. 5.

There will not be a 9 a.m. service that Sunday.
