Exhibit submission deadline set
SARANAC LAKE — The Adirondack Artists' Guild will host its 12th-annual juried art show from March 5 through April 13.

Interested artists may pick up a prospectus at the Artists' Guild gallery or download one from www.adirondackartistsguild.com.

One or two works may be submitted for an entry fee of $20; $5 for one additional work. A stamped, self-addressed envelope or an e-mail address must be included with the entry form.

Drop-off dates are Feb. 25 through 28 during regular gallery hours. Jurying will take place March 1, and notifications of acceptance will be mailed or e-mailed March 2.

This year's juror will be Hilary Oak, executive director of the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.

Cash awards will be given, and the first-prize winner will also have the opportunity to present a solo show at the gallery in November.

An opening reception will be held at the gallery, 52 Main St., from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 5, with awards announced at 6. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and noon to 3 Sunday.

Saxophonists
invited to festival

POTSDAM — SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will host a Saxophone Chamber Music Festival Saturday, Feb. 20, in the Sara M. Snell Theater.

The event, with performances and master classes throughout the day, is free and open to the public. Although it features mostly collegiate ensemble performances, high-school saxophonists are strongly encouraged to attend, a press release said.

The event will conclude with a feature concert by guest artists at 7:30 p.m. and a jam session at Maxfields at 10 p.m.
