Easter services set
PLATTSBURGH — Here's the schedule for Easter services at Plattsburgh United Methodist Church.

Services for Passion/Palm Sunday, March 28, are at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., with a "Walk Through Holy Week" at the later worship; a Living Last Supper Tableau with narrators is 7:30 p.m. April 1; throughout the day April 2, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., is a Prayer Vigil; and Good Friday Candle Service is 7 p.m. April 2.

Easter Sunday, April 4, Sunrise Service at Wilcox Dock is 6:30 a.m.; Easter Morning Service is 8 a.m. in the Chapel; and the Adirondack Brass with Darryl Redmond on tympani will play at the 10:30 a.m. Easter Service.

Lenten season music announced
ELIZABETHTOWN — Music for the Lenten season will be performed at United Church of Christ in Elizabethtown at 12:15 p.m. March 31, April 1 and April 2.

This marks the 10th season the Lenten music has been offered to the community. On Wednesday, March 31, Mary Lu Kirsty, organist, will perform a selection of music appropriate for the season. Thursday, April 1, will feature Russell Ames on the piano and Mary Lu Kirsty on the organ, with an all Bach program. Friday, April 2, will feature Susan Hughes, a soprano, and Mary Lu Kirsty, an organist.

Admission is free, and all are welcome.



All invited to Easter observances
ESSEX — Special services for the Easter season have been set for Essex Community United Methodist Church.

Palm Sunday, March 27, will be celebrated with special music and the distribution of palms at 10:15 a.m. in the sanctuary.

On Holy Thursday, April 1, a Tenebrae service with holy communion will be held at 7 p.m.

The annual Sunrise Service is at 6:30 a.m. April 4 at Begg's Park in Essex. A free breakfast will follow at the church.

The Easter worship service will be at 10:15 a.m. April 4 with special music.

All are invited.
