Computer Club to discuss Open Office

PLATTSBURGH — The next Senior Citizen Computer Club of Clinton County meeting is set for 1:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Senior Citizens' Center, 5139 North Catherine St.

Jean Schiffler will give a presentation on Open Office, an open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more.

In addition to demonstrating the program, Schiffler will do an actual download of the program into a computer.

Caregiver group to meet Feb. 9

PLATTSBURGH — There will be a discussion group for all unpaid caregivers from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at the United Way Building, 45 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh.

As in the past, these groups are open to anyone providing unpaid care to an aging family member or friend. No appointment is necessary. New caregivers, friends and family are welcome.

Spaghetti dinner planned at meeting

MOOERS — The Mooers Good Fellowship Club will hold their monthly meeting over a spaghetti dinner at noon Feb. 8 at St. Joseph's hall.

Attendees will be able to sign up for the club's yearly visit to the sugar house and start planning a trip.
